“The Carpet Crawlers 1999 is the song you heard. It was originally meant to be included on the first Genesis box set in 1998, but it wasn’t ready in time for that.

It’s a studio recording where Steve Hackett, Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins re-did their parts to the song with Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford.

Anyway, this was the only song they did during this short reunion. The song was included on the Genesis album, Turn It On Again : The Hits, which was a compilation of the band’s greatest hits throughout the years released late last year”
